In this episode of the Life and Football Podcast our special guest is Freddie Stevenson. Freddie Stevenson is a former Full Back/ Running Back for the NFL and Florida State University. This was a great interview that will give anyone great insight into becoming successful. Freddie played his Highschool Football in Polk County Florida, College Football at Florida State, and signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2017, and also played for the Orlando Apollos. Former Bears fullback Freddie Stevenson is doing his best to help those who were once in his shoes. In his first book, Trials to Triumph, he elaborates on his journey to the NFL and the obstacles he had to face to get there, as well as the struggles that he faced once his playing days came to an end. Growing up in Florida, Stevenson’s family was far from affluent. With a single mother who had to work multiple jobs to feed five children while his father was in prison, he experienced firsthand what effect poverty can have on a person. In June 2019, Stevenson announced he had ended his football career, citing the NFL’s decrease in using fullbacks, and created the Triumph 105 company.
