Dawonya Tucker is an amazing running back coming out of the Prairie View A&M Panthers Football program going into the 2020 NFL Draft. He has been invited to the 2020 NFL HBCU combine. The event will be held Friday, March 27-Sunday, March 29 at the Miami Dolphins’ Baptist Health Training Facility. If teams could look past his size they will find a top notch player that they must have on their team. Dawonya lead the Panthers in rushing for the past two years and has been one of the leading rushers in SWAC conference. Dawonya is a topnotch Player you can count on. He definitely has the ability to play and be successful in the NFL.
His mom Dawoner Dye Tucker and father Neil Tucker Sr. raised him to always give God the glory. He was involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the campus of Prairie View every Thursday bible study. Dwayne knows that all of the sacrifices that he has made will pay with the hard work and dedication he has put towards life and the game of Football. Fun fact he also helped name his younger brother with having a Middle name of Lebron. He really wants to be a great role model for his son, and brothers Neil Tucker Jr. and Lebron Zion Tucker. He is a dedicated Father to his son and wants to be able to provide the best life possible for him.
Coming from Terrell Texas Dawonya Tucker is for ever thankful for Coach Simmons and Coach Black (Coaches who are now at FAMU) for giving him a football scholarship offer to PV after they offered one of his teammates. He has nothing but love for PV for providing him with a great college education and has enjoyed his time there. He also feels that the SWAC has some of the best competition in College Football.
Dawonya plans on getting his teaching certification and becoming a Football Coach. Football, gave him the chance to go beyond high school. He plans on giving back to his community through coaching and assisting kids with getting opportunities to college.
