Gassett is currently a receiver for Florida A&M University Football. Jamari transferred in to FAMU from the University of Buffalo. While playing at Tampa Bay Tech High School: He was a Wide receiver who, as a senior, ranked third in the state of Florida in receiving yards with 1,066, averaged 23.7 yards on 45 catches and had nine touchdowns on the season, totaled 1,735 all-purpose yards, scored four return touchdowns on the season as a return specialist. Freshman (2021 at Buffalo): Appeared in all 12 games and made eight starts ranked third on the team in receiving. Sophomore (2022 at Buffalo): Appeared starting in 10 games and ranked third on the team in receiving. .
