In this episode of the Life and Football Podcast our special guest was Kenny Strong. Kenny Strong is currently the Running Backs Coach for the Southeastern University Fire Football team in Football. Recently Coach Strong was the Head Coach for Kathleen Highschool in Lakeland Florida. Kenny Strong knows Polk County football. He played at Lakeland, graduating in 2004, and has been an assistant and Head Coach at five high schools in the area. After graduating from Lakeland, Strong attended Florida A&M on an academic scholarship but did not play football. He graduated with a degree in physical education. Strong began coaching in the Panhandle first as an assistant at West Gadsden then at LaBelle. He returned to Polk County at Bartow under Brett Biggs then coached under Jason Butler. He also coached three years at Lake Gibson under both Keith and Doug DeMyer , then went back to Bartow under Ray Tiller. He coached one year at Lakeland under Bill Castle when the Dreadnaughts won the state title in 2018. Along the way, he coached defensive backs, special teams and was a defensive coordinator before at Auburndale.
