Quez Watkins a wide receiver for Southern Miss is headed to the NFL after another great football season. In 2018 Quez put the college football world on notice with 72 receptions, 889 yards receiving, and 9 touchdowns. In 2019 the NFL Scouts and General Managers were able to see that he was a playmaker with 64 receptions, 1,178 yards receiving, and 6 touchdowns. He has the speed, hands, and route running skills to be very successful in the NFL. Look for him to be a NFL Draft pick this April. Quez has been putting in a lot of hard work to be in this position today.
Right after his breakout season in 2018 his grades slipped putting the 2019 season in jeopardy. For the spring term Quez had to go back home to Alabama to get his grades back up to be eligible to play in 2019. He took all the classes that were needed and had a trainer for football to stay in shape. Finally having his grades back in order, he made his way back to southern miss for the summer in 2019. He missed spring ball and had a new Offensive Coordinator, which lets people know that he had to work really hard to get caught up with the new system. Quez wasn’t handed the starting job either once he came back. He worked hard for everything he got in 2019.
Quez Watkins is a special player with the work ethic on and off the field to match. Some NFL team is going to be truly happy with their future Star wide receiver!
